The New Officers of SETREF
In the elections that took place during the SETREF General Assembly in Bratislava, Slovakia on May 25th 2007, the following new SETREF officers and members of the Steering Committee for the period 2007 - 2010 were elected:
- Chairman: Assoc. Prof Marco Mazzarino, (University of Venice, Italy)
- Vice chairperson: Dr. Georgia Ayfandopoulou, Hellenic Institute of Transport
- Secretary: Prof Sm. Vukanovic, Transportation Engineering Faculty, University of Belgrade, Serbia.
- Treasurer, Prof. D. Stoyanov, Technical University of Sofia, Bulgaria.

organisations devoted to the promotion of transport research
and/or education, based in South East European countries. |

| Research Fellowships for the US |
During the recent SETREF official dinner for the celebration of its 10
years, in Bratislava, one of the delegates present, Mr. Raj S. Ghaman of the
US Federal Highway Administration (Office of Operations R&D), informed us
that his office is interested to offer to European students, research
fellowships enabling them to go to the US to do research with his
administration.
